RICH GLITCH is a collaborative, interactive workshop where we will journey through the realms of analog video mixing and 80’s style graphics. Steered by our collective vision, we will use vintage video mixers, live camera feed, video synthesis, and found footage to create new video art that looks rich and glitch. We’ll also view and discuss historical examples of video art. Feel free to bring your own found footage via VHS tapes or youtube links.

Anna Luisa Petrisko makes video art and music that spans from experimental opera to new age pop. Working with many artists, she sees the shared labor as a way to form relationships and cultural communion. She is a MAP Fund recipient and has been an artist-in-residence at Yaddo, Coaxial Arts Foundation, Los Angeles Performance Practice, and Echo Park Film Center.

Anna Luisa Petrisko
Anna Luisa Petrisko performs artistic research into identity, history and culture. In built environments that are as much invested in the sacred as they are interested in technological speculation, the work explores future and ancient ideas coinciding at a non-linear tempo. Collaborating with many artists, she sees the shared work as a way to navigate relationships and cultural communion. Her mediums include experimental opera, analog video art, immersive theater, design, sound, music, textiles, and sculpture. Her recent project is a new sci-fi opera VIBRATION GROUP, which premiered at LACE (Los Angeles Contemporary Exhibitions) in Fall 2019 and has since been presented at LACMA, Glas Animation Festival and Culture Hub. Anna Luisa is a current faculty member in the School of Art at California State University San Marcos, where she teaches Video Art and Sound Design. http://annaluisapetrisko.com
